Partnering with Australian child protection agency, Bravehearts, is just one way we're making change happen. By supporting child protection training, counselling, and research, we're contributing to a safer future for our children.
And we’re supporting from the sidelines and shoreline too. In 2022, our commitment to community sports soared, with a host of initiatives like those in the Brighton Rugby Union Football Club of South Australia and the donation of our Security Made Batter (SMB) kits to local businesses, like the South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

Gallagher Security and Securcom Enhance Protection for Bravehearts' Head Office through an Innovative Security System
Previously reliant on a conventional key and code entry system, Bravehearts faced practical challenges such as key misplacements, compromised codes, and limited access during emergencies. Gallagher's installation of their advanced access control system revolutionised Braveheart’s security. The contemporary solution eliminated historical issues, granting seamless and secure access through an intuitive app interface.
Showcasing Our Community Initiatives
Our Strong Partnership with Bravehearts: Safeguarding Children's Wellbeing
Gallagher Australia is dedicated to protecting children from harm. Our second annual charity golf day, held in April 2024, raised more than $42,000 to support Bravehearts, one of Australia’s leading child protection organisations. Our values align perfectly with Bravehearts' vision of preventing child sexual abuse. This partnership extends beyond fundraising – we have also sponsored events, donated security technology, and plan to support Bravehearts' initiatives into the future. At our most recent Charity Golf Day, members of the Gallagher Security Australia team and their Channel Partners, End Users, Technology Partners, and Consultants took to the green at The Palms Golf Course at Sanctuary Cove in Queensland. The event has proved so successful, doubling participant numbers and tripling sponsors, we have already received interest in the 2025 event. Together, we’re creating a safer world for children, fuelled by shared values and a lasting partnership.
Gallagher and Addpro Secure Australian Men’s Shed Association in Dereel
We teamed up with Addpro Security to safeguard the Dereel branch of the Australian Men’s Shed Association. With a cloud-based security solution from Gallagher, the Dereel Men’s Shed can now remotely control their alarm system using smartphones. This partnership enhances the Men’s Shed mission of fostering camaraderie, skill-sharing, and well-being among members. Through this collaboration, Gallagher and Addpro are ensuring a safer space for meaningful connections and personal growth within the Dereel community.
Boosting Training Accessibility with Keystone Tasmania Funding
We secured funding from Keystone Tasmania to empower local Channel Partners with affordable training opportunities. Keystone, a statewide training board, collaborates with us to subsidise sought-after Access and Perimeter training courses, benefiting skill development in the building and construction industry. This innovative partnership, ignited by our valued Channel Partner, Contact Group, aligns with our commitment to enhance training accessibility.
South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club
Home to the largest Surf Life Saving ‘Nippers’ program in Australia, the South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club (SMSLC) needed a future-proof access control system to replace their previous solution that had been corroded due to salty sea air.
With Gallagher donating their SMB solution, and Johnson Controls providing the installation, the cloud-based security system has had an immediate impact on the club’s systems and processes, with a reduction in administration tasks by at least two hours a week.
The partnership between Gallagher and Johnson Controls has enabled the SMSLC to focus on what is most important, keeping people safe on the beach, while training the next generation of life savers.
Uiver Memorial Community Trust
In regional Victoria, an iconic piece of history is being meticulously restored, while Gallagher’s SMB solution is protecting the space and tools used to bring it back to life. In 1934, during the MacRobertson Air Race, the KLM DC-2 airliner Uiver became lost in a thunderstorm on the final leg of the race and was forced to land on Albury Racecourse at night.
The remarkable story of the rescue of the Uiver by the townsfolk of Albury is the stuff of legend, and a group of dedicated volunteers have joined forces to form the Uiver Memorial Community Trust, and they are committed to restoring the world’s oldest Douglas DC-2 aircraft for future generations to enjoy.
The donation of Gallagher’s SMB kit and the installation by Channel Partner, Watters Electrical free of charge, provides the security needed so the monumental task of restoring the aircraft can carry on seamlessly.
