Secom Technical Services, is a distinguished name in the Australian security industry, with a heritage tracing back to 1986 under the name Jewell and Buckley Pty Ltd when it began as an electrical company. A partnership with the globally recognised Secom Co. Ltd., fortified Secom Technical Services as a major player in Australia in 2007. Today, The Secom Group operates across 18 countries, employing over 70,000 people, and generating annual revenues exceeding $9 billion USD.

Secom’s expertise lies in bridging the communication gap between agency security teams and their IT and Cybersecurity requirements, ensuring strategic alignment and effective dialogue. Their proven track record in the high security sector has been proven time and again, notably by achieving an ‘Authority to Operate’ for three of the top five largest federal agencies, impacting over 100,000 employees working within these agencies.

Secom Technical Services partnered with Gallagher Security in 2005 as they moved into the electronic security market. Initially, Secom installed mainly serial-based systems but saw potential in Gallagher's then-new advanced FT product line and true IP platform. Over the years, this partnership has grown, making Secom Technical Services one of Gallagher’s largest Channel Partners, driven by their shared commitment to high security solutions.

Key milestones and achievements

Throughout the years, we have celebrated numerous significant achievements and milestones together. In 2018, Gallagher Security led the industry in releasing a Type 1A Central Supervisory System, endorsed by the Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC). The Secom Technical Services team assisted in the development of the Type 1A solution, becoming the first and, at the time, only National High-Security Channel Partner.

The Secom team deployed and continues to maintain the Gallagher National Defence physical access control system (PACS), Australia's largest access control database, while also supporting new initiatives within Defence.

Following the release of the Type 1A solution and the solidification of partnership with the Australian Defence Force, the Secom team also developed and approved a method to utilise the Defence network for Gallagher Type 1A communications.

Looking ahead, Secom remains committed to supporting some of the nation's most secure sites and is implementing PIV-ready Gallagher solutions to ensure clients stay ahead of the curve with the latest electronic access control technology.
