AUSTRALIA – Global security manufacturer, Gallagher Security is celebrating a double award win at the Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence and the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) in Melbourne last night.
Less than six months since its release, Gallagher’s Augmented Reality (AR) Training was named Outstanding Security Training Initiative at last night’s OSPAs.
Released across Australia in May, AR Training further strengthens the company’s commitment to innovative training initiatives and follows in the footsteps of their Train the Trainer, Virtual Classroom sessions, and online training options, making training even more accessible, regardless of location.
Gallagher Security Training Manager Asia Pacific and India, Middle East, and Africa (APAC and IMEA), Danielle Mitchell says, “This award recognises Gallagher’s continued commitment to pushing training boundaries, delivering innovative opportunities for our customers. AR training eliminates geographical constraints and logistical delays associated with traditional training methods, increases course availability and frequency, and is open to all attendees, regardless of where they are located, meaning technicians can be trained on demand.”
Further roll out of Gallagher’s AR Training is planned across APAC and IMEA.
Gallagher’s next generation controller, the Controller 7000 (C7000), also took home top honours, being named, Product of the Year in the Access Control category during the Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence ceremony.
Last night’s award follows a string of wins for the C7000 in 2024, including: Outstanding New Security Product at the New Zealand and India and South Asia Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), Outstanding New Product at the New Zealand Security Awards, and the Innovative Achievement Award at the recent Detektor International Awards respectively.
Released in November 2023, the C7000 represents a new generation of Gallagher Security technology. Capable of managing all localised access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security, business automation, and logic needs for organisations. With streamlined upgrades and advanced cybersecurity, the C7000 gives users an opportunity to leverage their hardware and firmware to build a platform designed for the future.
Gallagher Security’s Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA, Craig Schutte says, “This award is testament to everyone involved in bringing the C7000 to market. Gallagher is passionate about pushing cybersecurity to the next level so that we can protect what matters most, and the C7000 really pushes the limits of what can be achieved when products are designed with security baked in right from the beginning."
In a rapidly evolving digital age, following basic cyber hygiene is no longer enough – businesses need a solution that is prepared for tomorrow’s cyber environment, today. With enhanced hardware and cybersecurity baked in from inception, the C7000 is up for the challenge.
Hosted by the Australian Security Industry Association Ltd (ASIAL) and held at Melbourne’s Park Hyatt, the event combined three industry awards programs including the Australian Security Medals Awards, under a single event to celebrate excellence and achievement across the security industry.
