Bravehearts Golf Day Gallagher Australia-General Purpose

AUSTRALIA – Global security manufacturer, Gallagher Security has raised $42,530 at their second Charity Golf Day event on Friday 19 April, supporting the vital work of Australian child protection organisation, Bravehearts.

Members of the Gallagher Security Australia team and their Channel Partners, End Users, Technology Partners, and Consultants took to the green at The Palms Golf Course at Sanctuary Cove in Queensland to raise funds for Bravehearts as they continue their work solely dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse, a crime that affects one in four Australian children.

Off the back of last year’s successful inaugural event, which saw more than $13,500 raised for Bravehearts, the Gallagher team decided to raise the bar, doubling the number of participants, and tripling the number of sponsors.

Gallagher Security, Events Specialist for Australia, Nicola Johnson says, “We are so grateful for the support of our sponsors and attendees who dug deep to get behind such a worthy cause, and we are proud to say we significantly exceeded our fundraising target, more than tripling last year’s total.”

As a not-for-profit organisation operating for more than 25 years, Bravehearts relies on the support and fundraising initiatives of companies and individuals to enable them to continue the work they do in the community.

Gallagher Security Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific (APAC) and India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA), Craig Schutte says, “We are committed to providing continued support for the critical work Bravehearts does, and as a company passionate about protecting what matters most and ensuring people are at the heart of everything we do, there is an obvious synergy between Gallagher’s and Bravehearts’ values. We were thrilled to be back on the green, and grateful for the support of our sponsors and participants who got behind this year’s bigger and better event.”

CEO of Bravehearts, Alison Geale added: “Bravehearts’ mission is the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.  We rely heavily on funding and fundraising to ensure we can deliver on this goal. We are deeply grateful to Craig, the team at Gallagher Security, and their partners as we work together to protect what matters most, children. The funds raised from the Gallagher Security Golf Day will go towards our work in raising awareness of child sexual abuse and our services.”

Gallagher’s Charity Golf Day was sponsored by Gallagher Technology and Channel Partners; Hexagon, SALTO Systems, SECURCOM PTY LTD, ASSA ABLOY Group, Convergint Asia Pacific, Johnson Controls, Magnetic, Traka, Wormald Security, Motorola Solutions, PMT Security Systems, and Stowe Australia.

Gallagher’s local Channel Partners were encouraged to bring along their customers to support the cause and benefit from the opportunity to network with likeminded businesses and industry suppliers.

In addition to Gallagher’s Charity Golf Day event, Gallagher’s ongoing relationship with Bravehearts which began in 2022, includes supporting the annual Bravehearts Ball, Bravehearts’ own golf day, initiatives around resources in schools, and the ongoing support and maintenance of the Gallagher security system donated and installed at Bravehearts HQ in 2023 in conjunction with Gallagher Security Certified Channel Partner, Securcom.
