Jonathan Finan Returns to New Zealand to Drive Technical Excellence for Gallagher Security

Hamilton, New Zealand – Gallagher Security is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Finan as Technical Account Manager for the Central North Island, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering expert support and strong partner relationships across the region.

Jonathan brings more than 14 years of experience with Gallagher, having built a well-rounded career across technical support, training, engineering, and business development roles in New Zealand and internationally.

Jonathan says his journey with Gallagher has been defined by continuous learning and steady progression.

“It’s been exactly that, a journey. Each role has added something, whether it’s technical knowledge or business acumen. The key is to always stay open to learning something new,” says Jonathan.

Having worked across New Zealand, the United States, and Canada, Jonathan brings a global perspective to the role, alongside a deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends.

“While the terminology and accents may differ, the fundamentals of the industry remain the same, it’s about using the best available technology to achieve the right outcomes for customers.”

Returning to New Zealand was a natural next step for Jonathan, both personally and professionally.

“I’ve always loved New Zealand and knew I’d return at some point. With the timing right, it felt like the perfect opportunity to come back, step into a new role, and continue my Gallagher journey,” he says.

In his new position, Jonathan will focus on supporting partners and customers across the Central North Island, combining his technical expertise with a strong relationship-driven approach.

“I’m a people person, I enjoy building relationships and working alongside customers to deliver solutions that really make a difference. I’m looking forward to collaborating with our partners and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in security.”

Jonathan’s appointment reflects Gallagher’s continued investment in technical capability and regional support, ensuring customers receive fit-for-purpose, future-focused solutions.
