Adelaide, Australia - Gallagher Security has wrapped up another successful User Group event in Adelaide, delivering two days of insights, networking, and innovation with over 100 industry professions, marking a record number of attendees.
Held at SkyCity Casino on 3–4 June, this year’s exclusive Gallagher Security User Group (GSUG) event featured expert-led discussions, product demonstrations, and training workshops designed to help End Users maximise Gallagher Security’s award-winning solutions.
National Events Manager – Australia, Nicola Johnson, says this year’s event, themed Unlock More, aimed to delve into how the industry can expand its knowledge, foster deeper connections, and gain valuable insights into the future of security.
“GSUG is a key fixture on our calendar of events, and this year we successfully equipped attendees with the latest Gallagher Security knowledge while fostering collaboration among peers, industry leaders, and technology partners," says Nicola.
Designed to inspire and unlock greater value for End Users, GSUG 2025 also gave attendees a unique opportunity to explore Gallagher Security’s innovative technology solutions and learn more about the latest in important industry developments.
“Our curated agenda included guest speakers, networking sessions, product demonstrations, interactive breakout workshops, and training workshops, which provided a fantastic opportunity to share Gallagher expertise with the industry,” says Nicola.
“Our local Gallagher Security speakers included Technical Director – Asia Pacific and India, Middle East, and Africa (APAC & IMEA), Mike Margrain; Training Manager – APAC & IMEA, Danielle Mitchell; National Technical Manager – Australia, Dean Matheson; National High Security and Federal Manager – Australia, Karl Harris; and Sales Manager – South Australia and Northern Territory, Keith Neville.”
Additionally, Andrew Scothern (Chief Architect), Scott Ridder (Value Stream Lead – Enterprise), Steve Bell (Chief Technology Officer), and Tyson Barnett (Product Manager – Credentials) all travelled from Gallagher Security’s Head Office Product Team in New Zealand.
Over two days, attendees heard from expert keynote speakers including:

- Jeremy Watkinson – Head of Protective Security Services, De Stefano & Co

- Sean Judge – Manager Physical and Cyber Security, Australian Naval Infrastructure
- Tara Turner – Security and Compliance Systems Coordinator, Loy Yang B Power Station.
Nicola says attendees took the opportunity to connect with Technology Partners including ASSA ABLOY, Entrust, IDEMIA, Milestone Systems, Motorola Solutions, and Traka who exhibited their latest solutions and integrations with Gallagher.
For Nicola, one of GSUG’s highlights was the Technology Partner Panel session which covered valuable insights into some of the important collaborative innovations shaping the future of security technology.
“It was fantastic to take stock of the security industry during this inspiring panel discussion featuring Rob Galic (National Sales Manager, ASSA ABLOY), Tony Pastore (Key Account Manager, Milestone Systems), and Mike Duffield (Sales Principal, Rapid).”
Attendees also participated in Gallagher training workshops which included Emergency Evacuation and Mobile Evacuation, Alarms and Alarm Viewers, and Creating and Assigning Competencies.
“Our GSUG workshops were specifically designed to showcase valuable insights into key Gallagher product features and support End Users to maximise the potential of their Command Centre solutions,” says Nicola.
