Gallagher Security's Melissa Vidakovic, Director of Marketing - the Americas, has been named among the honorees in SIA's Women in Security Forum Power 100.

HAMILTON, NEW ZEALAND – Gallagher Security is pleased to announce the promotion of Wayne Scott to the role of General Manager of New Zealand Sales. Wayne steps into the role following more than seven years with Gallagher, most recently serving as Operations Manager.
Wayne’s career at Gallagher began in 2018 as a Business Development Manager for the Lower North Island before progressing to Sales Manager and then most recently as Operations Manager. His deep experience across sales and operations, coupled with his commitment to building strong partnerships, positions him well to lead Gallagher’s New Zealand sales team through its next phase of growth.
“I believe we have the best sales team in New Zealand,” says Wayne. “We're a team of incredibly capable, passionate people who care about our customers and our industry, and I see my new role as one where I can empower our team to be the best they can be, and as ensuring Gallagher continues to be the most valuable partner to our channel and end customers.”
Wayne is stepping into the role at a pivotal time with Gallagher’s New Zealand business focused on strengthening its market-leading position and continuing its transformation beyond traditional security. “We’re not just about opening and closing doors anymore,” Wayne explains. “Our value lies in the relationships we build and the outcomes we enable for our customers. That’s the foundation our team is built on, and it’s a legacy I’m looking forward to continuing.”
Chief Executive Mark Junge is excited for Wayne to lead the way and empower the team to unlock more value for end customers and channel partners alike: “Wayne embodies Gallagher’s core values of helping each other grow, building lasting relationships, and committing to a better tomorrow. He has a vision for what this team can achieve, and I can’t wait to see how he makes this role his own.”
While Wayne doesn’t intend to reinvent the wheel, he’s excited about the opportunities ahead: “This is about building on what already works. I’m here to support the team, deepen our relationships across the country, and help shape how we bring Gallagher’s evolving vision to life in the New Zealand market.”
Wayne officially started as General Manager of New Zealand Sales on 5 May and is based in Wellington.
