Gold Coast, Australia – Gallagher Security Australia has raised the bar once again, bringing the security industry together at its annual Charity Golf Day at RACV Royal Pines Resort, delivering a record-breaking fundraising result for Bravehearts, one of Australia’s leading child protection organisations.
Now firmly established as a flagship event on the industry calendar, the 2026 Charity Golf Day welcomed more than 150 attendees, including Channel Partners, End Users, Technology Partners, and Consultants, for a full day of golf, connection and collective impact.
Before a ball was even hit, the 2026 event had already surpassed the total raised at last year’s tournament, making it the largest fundraising event ever delivered by a Bravehearts partner in the organisation’s 29-year history. Total funds raised reached AUD $90,000, setting a new benchmark for industry-led charitable impact.
Thanks to the generosity of players and sponsors, funds raised will directly support Bravehearts’ prevention, early intervention and specialist counselling services for children affected by sexual abuse – a crime experienced by one in four Australians.
Supported by event sponsors ADT, Convergint, Hanwha Vision, Optic Security Group, PMT Security Systems, Salto Systems, Seadan Security and Electronics, Secom Technical Services, Traka, and Travel Experts, this year’s event exceeded all previous benchmarks, marking Gallagher’s most successful Charity Golf Day to date.
Craig Schutte, Executive Vice President for APAC and IMEA, said the sustained growth of the event reflects a shared commitment across the security industry to driving meaningful change.
“Each year, we see more organisations coming together with a genuine desire to support Bravehearts and their important work in Australia. That shared purpose is incredibly powerful,” says Craig.
“At Gallagher, people sit at the centre of everything we do. Our long-standing partnership with Bravehearts is something we’re deeply proud of. To see this event become the largest fundraiser in Bravehearts’ partner history is a powerful reminder of what our industry can achieve when it works together for a cause that truly matters.”
Beyond fundraising, the day delivered plenty of colour and friendly competition, with highlights including the much-anticipated marshmallow drive challenge which was won this year by Craig Hughes from Sonic Healthcare, who launched a marshmallow an impressive 52 metres. The Best Dressed team award was taken out by PMT Security, after turning heads in coordinated shirts and shorts featuring the Gallagher Security and Bravehearts heart logo on one sleeve, the date of this year’s Charity Golf Day on the other, and a pattern of a golfer mid-swing across the shirt.
Bravehearts CEO Alison Geale acknowledged Gallagher’s continued leadership and the collective contribution of the security industry.
“Gallagher Security’s ongoing commitment plays a critical role in enabling Bravehearts to deliver services where they are needed most,” says Alison.
“Events like the Charity Golf Day help bridge key funding gaps, allowing us to expand preventative education in schools and early learning environments, while continuing to provide specialist, trauma-informed counselling for children and families impacted by abuse.”
