Diagnostics Service v1.02.006 Installs as Local System rather then Network Service

The Gallagher Diagnostics Service v1.02.006 (distributed with vEL9.00.1291 Full Release) runs as the Local System account, which introduces additional risks to the host it is installed on. An application running under a Local System account has almost unlimited privileges to the Windows System and violates the cybersecurity principle of least privilege. Gallagher Diagnostics Service v1.3.0 (distributed in 9.00.1507(MR1)) and later run as Network Service, an account with limited privileges for applications that do not need to access network resources.

Gallagher recommends any users with the Diagnostics Service v1.02.006 to upgrade to v1.3.0 or later.
