In the United Kingdom, the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) works alongside the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) to help reduce vulnerability to terrorism and other threats. NPSA is the lead authority for physical security while NCSC leads on all things cyber. Together, they work with manufacturers to develop more secure, robust, and cyber-assured products that help protect corporate data and assets. The Cyber Assurance of Physical Security Systems Standard (CAPSS) has been jointly written by NCSC and NPSA leveraging the expertise of both technical authorities and is part of a critical programme within NPSA. Our high security system enables a standalone server solution for highly secure areas for access control and alarms functionality and delivers full end-to-end authentication and encryption for a site’s physical security system.

GovPass is a new functional standard developed by the Cabinet Office to provide access control to government department buildings.
As many government departments start converting to GovPass, Gallagher and our channel community are in a great position to partner and deliver this new access control standard.
