AUSTRALIA. Global security leader, Gallagher has raised $13,500 at a charity golf day to help fund the vital work of child protection organisation, Bravehearts.
Held on Friday 21st of April at The Palms Golf Course at Sanctuary Cove, the money raised from the event will help Bravehearts continue to prevent and treat child sexual abuse, a crime that affects 1 in 5 Australian children.
As one of Australia’s leading childhood protection organisations, Bravehearts has been at the forefront of preventing and treating child sexual abuse for over 25 years.
This year's golf day is just one of the fundraising initiatives that the two organisations have worked on together since their partnership began last year. Gallagher Security was a major sponsor of Bravehearts’ own Annual Golf Day and the 25th Annual Bravehearts Ball held in 2022. Gallagher Security has also donated security hardware and software for Bravehearts’ Queensland headquarters.
Speaking about Gallagher’s support for Bravehearts, Gallagher’s Executive Vice President for the Asia Pacific (APAC) and India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) regions, Craig Schutte said:
“Gallagher is a privately owned, family company that has been in business for 85 years. As such, family values of respect, care, and fostering lasting relationships are important to us - all with the ultimate goal of creating a better future. These values are perfectly aligned with Bravehearts' Vision, which is a world where people, communities and systems all work together to protect children from sexual abuse. Gallagher's purpose of protecting what is most important is in perfect harmony with Bravehearts' Vision and we’re proud to be able to support the important work they do.”
CEO of Bravehearts, Alison Geale added:
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Gallagher for their support, and we eagerly anticipate a rich and enduring partnership. To the supporters of Gallagher, you are doing good work, in and of itself, by supporting this wonderful organisation, which truly wants to make a difference. Together, Gallagher and Bravehearts can work towards safeguarding what matters most - the wellbeing of our children.”
Gallagher’s charity golf day was sponsored by Gallagher Technology and Channel Partners Salto and Securcom – as Gold sponsors – and Assa Abloy and Milestone – as Silver sponsors. Gallagher’s local Channel Partners were encouraged to bring along their customers to support the cause and benefit from the opportunity to network with likeminded businesses and industry suppliers that work with Gallagher.
“It was wonderful to be able to organise this event along with the support of our local Channel Partners, end-users, consultants, and Technology Partners,” commented Gallagher’s Sales Manager for Queensland and Papua New Guinea, Pedro DeJesus.
“As a member of team Gallagher, I know how much importance we place on putting people at the heart of everything we do. Being able to rally our community of long-standing partners to help such a worthy cause was an amazing thing to be a part of. For over 85 years now, Gallagher has been committed to supporting, enhancing, and positively impacting the communities in which all our staff, customers, and our suppliers live.”
Over the coming year, Gallagher Security intends to continue its support of Bravehearts through being a Diamond sponsor of Bravehearts’ 2023 Annual charity ball, and by printing folders that Bravehearts will use in schools and early learning centres, which hold key information for decision makers about Bravehearts Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show.
